As the COVID-19 pandemic progresses, people all over the world are joining in solidarity to help flatten the curve. As we are each called to practice social distancing—the act of remaining indoors to prevent further spread of the virus—it is important that we are not isolating ourselves spiritually or emotionally. It is vital to continue practicing, or start, daily habits that lift our spirits rather than keep us feeling socially and emotionally disconnected during the current pandemic.
With the above in mind, I have decided to offer a series of blog posts titled #SOCIALLIFE. The purpose of these posts are to help each other remain connected and accountable as we each play necessary roles in supporting one another throughout this period of social distancing.
Over the next few weeks, you can expect to see posts on a variety of topics including but not limited to:
1. Tips for building daily habits that allow us a sense of purpose
2. Words of appreciation for the often unseen individuals who are vital to helping us thrive, and not just survive, during this time
3. Resources for staying connected with one another that go beyond simply posts on social media, but instead empower us to dig deeper into the hearts of our dearest comrades around the world
4. Daily challenges that serve to motivate and encourage one another as we strive to remember: we are in this together
My heart is inundated by the influx of stories of compassion and solidarity that have arisen as a result of people all over the world banding together to support one another. Let’s make it our mission to let the stories of kindness be greater than the tales of panic.
Will you join me and countless others on this journey of staying connected amidst this era of social distancing? My hope is that through this series, you’ll receive the encouragement you need and find hope in a community of others seeking to offer the same.
So, let's get started! You can join in by clicking on the “subscribe” button at the top of this page and filling in and submitting your corresponding information. By doing so, you will be added to our Of Grace and Words mailing list and will receive ALL blog post updates straight in your inbox. The first post will go live this Monday, March 23rd at 12pm (EST)!
I can’t wait to start this journey with you, friend, and I am looking forward to building deeper connections during this season of #socialdistancing!
With Grace,
Celina
